If you want to pay your council tax by credit or debit card, you can either:

• Pay your overpayment invoice online
• Call our 24 hour payment line on 0161 912 2564 and select Option 7

Signing up to the direct debit scheme means you don't have to queue up to pay your bill. The scheme offers you complete peace of mind as it is guaranteed by your bank. If you want to pay by direct debit simply download a mandate, complete and return it to Trafford Council, PO Box 65, Sale M33 6BY. Alternatively, you can email it to us at hb.overpayments@trafford.gov.uk

Post Office

You can pay by cash, cheque or debit card at any Post Office using the barcode on the front of your invoice or reminder/final notice. This is a free service.

Payzone/Paypoint Outlets

Payments can also be made at any of the 30,000 Payzone Outlets in the UK using your barcode. There is no charge for this service.

If you prefer to pay your overpayment by standing order, complete a Standing Order Instruction form and send this to your bank.

If you want to pay through Girobank, please quote your 10-digit invoice reference number (beginning with a 2) and our Girobank number, which is 6174132.

Please do not send cash through the post.

Make your cheque payable to 'Trafford Council' and include your name, 10-digit invoice reference number (beginning with a 2) and the property address to which the bill relates on the back of the cheque.

If you want a receipt, please send a stamped addressed envelope with your payment. All cheques should be sent to the address given on this page.
