About your Council Tax

The 2012/2013 council tax rates were agreed on Wednesday 22 February 2012. There has been no increase to the Council Tax payable on a property (including the precepts for the Fire and Rescue Service and Police), so the charge remains the same as in 2011/12.

The average amount charged for a property in Council Tax Band D, including precepts (except Partington), is £1,302.21. This is the lowest council tax rate in Greater Manchester.

The Council Tax Guides which are sent out with the bills, provide information about the 2012/2013 budget, how to pay your council tax, the various reductions available and how to claim council tax benefit.
