You can pay by the following methods:

Online
You can pay your Council Tax bill using our online payments service. In addition to this, you can check the balance and other details of your Council Tax account (this service requires registration first).
Switch to Direct Debit
If you choose to pay by direct debit, payments will be made automatically and you will no longer have to remember to pay each month. You can put behind you the worry of overlooking a payment, perhaps due to illness or being on holiday. We will always give you advance notice of your payments. The scheme is completely guaranteed by your bank, please see the direct debit guarantee below for more details.
You can now set up your direct debit over the phone by calling us on 0161 912 2220. Alternatively you can complete a Direct Debit form and return it to the address below:

The Direct Debit Guarantee
This guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that take part in the direct debit scheme. The efficiency and security of the scheme is monitored and protected by your own bank or building society.
If the amounts to be paid or the payment dates change, we will tell you 10 working days before your account is debited or as otherwise agreed.
If we or your bank or building society make a mistake, you are guaranteed a full and immediate refund from your branch of the amount you have paid.
You can cancel a direct debit at any time by writing to your bank or building society. Please also send a copy of your letter to us.
By Credit or Debit Card
You can call our automated telephone system on 0161 912 2564. Full payment instructions are provided on the call.
By Internet or Telephone banking
Ask your bank about this new handy way to pay. You will need our sort code, account number and your eight digit council tax reference number.
Standing Order
You can pay your Council Tax by standing order. Just fill in a standing order form and send it directly to your bank.
Payments by Cash or Cheque at the Co-operative Bank plc
You can pay at any branch of the Co-operative Bank plc or you can use your internet or telephone banking service. When making your payment, please quote your Reference Number and our bank details shown below:

At the Post Office
You can pay your Council Tax bill at any post office. There is no charge to you for this. To make your payment you will need a personalised payment card. If you do not have a payment card you can Order a payment card online
