Hackney Carriage Table of Fares 2011

At its meeting on the 20th October 2011 the Public Protection Sub-Committee agreed a change to the current Taxi Fare Table that would increase fares by 2.8% in line with the agreed financial model. The Sub-Committee also agreed that the meters should be reset to increase in 20p increments.

The proposed changes to the Fare Table were advertised giving a 14 day objection period. There were no objections received and so the new Fare Table will become effective from 1st December 2011.

When the new chip has been fitted to your meter you must ring the Transport Depot at Higher Road on 0161 912 5795 to arrange an appointment to have the meter tested and sealed.
