Citizenship Ceremonies

Applicants for British Citizenship, who have chosen to have their citizenship ceremony at Sale Town Hall, will receive a letter from the Home Office inviting them to contact Trafford Register Office to set a date for the ceremony.

Ceremonies are held every two or three weeks, usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and are attended by the Mayor or another civic dignatory. We encourage children to attend but if they cannot come, we can issue their citizenship certificate to one of their parents.

New citizens who are unable to attend one of our group citizenship ceremonies you may apply for a private ceremony. There is a fee of £50 per adult for this service.
