How do the forums work?
Open Forum - 6pm - 7pm
The Open Forum features tables around the room, each with an officer from a particular organisation available to talk with you.
Once you have discussed your issue, you will be given a written account of the problem, information offered, possible actions to resolve it and contact details for updates. If the information you require can't be given on the evening, our system ensures that you will receive a reply within 7 days.
Discussion Forum - 7pm - 8pm
The Discussion Forum is a public meeting chaired by one of your local councillors and gives you an opportunity to hear about things happening in your area.
- It provides an opportunity for you to ask questions
- The topics for the Discussion Forum can be suggested by you
- You can hear a presentation about a local issue followed by a question and answer session
- Staff will be available to ask questions on your behalf if you don't want to do it yourself
Recent examples of Discussion Forum topics include crime and disorder, school admissions and Adult Social Care.
