Family Learning
What is family learning?
Our family learning programme, funded through The Skills Funding Agency and delivered on behalf of Trafford Council by Trafford College, provides opportunities for families to learn new skills together in schools, children's centres and other local community venues.
What is on offer?
Family Literacy Language and Numeracy
Courses which help parents and carers to:
- Find ways of supporting their child's learning
- Share activities with children which will help to develop their literacy, language and numeracy skills
- Develop their own skills in English and Maths so that they can support their children at school
- Get nationally recognised qualifications for themselves
Wider Family Learning
Wider Family Learning courses offer parents and carers the chance to:
- Develop existing skills
- Learn new skills with their child
- Have fun while actively supporting their child's learning
Is there a charge?
No. All Family Learning courses are free.
