Park Maintenance
The Parks and Countryside service are responsible for the general operational management and day-to-day maintenance of parks located across the borough.
Our major parks have dedicated teams of staff, who pride themselves in delivering a high standard of horticultural maintenance. Mobile gardening teams regularly visit sites to ensure that the defined standards are maintained at both district and major parks.
Gardening staff ensure that the quality and range of horticultural features are all maintained appropriately and that standards of cleanliness and health and safety are achieved by regular inspection. These features include:
- Grass areas
- Litter collection
- Flower and shrub beds
- Hedges
- Playgrounds
- Outdoor sports facilities
