Appealing against a decision
Where the Council has made a decision to refuse planning permission, you can, usually within 6 months, appeal to the Government's Planning Inspectorate who will appoint an independent planning inspector who will review the case, and the Council's reasons for refusal. If he/she disagrees with the Council, he/she may grant approval.
