Planning Policy - Strategic

The Strategic Planning section is involved at the strategic level in the development, monitoring and review of a range of policy topic areas and documents for the Borough, including:

  • Land Use Planning Policy and the Unitary Development Plan
  • Spatial Planning Policy and Local Development Framework
  • Transport Planning Policy and the GM Local Transport Plan
  • Housing Planning Policy - Trafford Housing Strategy
  • Environmental/Sustainable Development Planning Policy

Consultations

Trafford Core Strategy: Further Consultation on The Vision, Strategic Objectives and Delivery Strategy will be running from Monday 8 March to 5.00 pm on Friday 16th April 2010. Details can be found on the Core Strategy page. 

Trafford maintains a database to facilitate community involvement in consultations. Individuals or organisations that wish to be included on this data base should contact the Strategic Planning and Developments Team.
