Bulky Item Collections
I'd like to arrange for a collection! What should I do?
To arrange for collection, please telephone 912 4000. Up to five items from our approved list can be collected.
A charge of £16 is payable prior to collection. Payment will be take over the the telephone so you will need a valid Visa Debit/Credit Card when you make the call.
Once the payment has been taken, you will be you will be given a collection day based on your postcode.
What items can be collected?

Is there anything special I need to do?
Yes, any items to be collected should:
- Be left in an un-obstructed location (and where stated over the telephone)
- Be covered up (items that have been affected by overnight rain will not be taken)

They collect second hand furniture, clothing, bric-a-brac and domestic appliances to be passed on to people in need. They do not accept any gas appliances. All soft furnishings must have fire labels attached.
Their opening hours are 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday. These are the only times when calls are taken to arrange collections, and the only times when collections are scheduled to be made. They also take deliveries to the above address. When a collection is scheduled the caller will be told the day of collection and the approximate time i.e. either morning or afternoon.

They collect all bulky items including furniture. They expect the furniture to be clean and reserve the right to refuse to remove items on inspection. They do not accept deliveries to the shop and they cover the whole of Trafford and beyond.
Please note, the Salvation Army does not take electrical equipment
Collections are made Tuesday to Thursday between 8.30am and 12.00pm and the caller will be given a day of collection. It can take up to 7 days to make the collection, and they reserve the right to refuse to collect items they feel are not of saleable standard.
Rag and Bone
The modern, economical and effortless way to give a new home to unwanted, but still usable, large household items. There is a small charge to advertise unwanted items on this site. Everything listed here is free-of-charge when you collect it.
