Mobile Library Service

The Mobile Library

The Mobile Library is for everyone and visits parts of Trafford where there is no static library. The Mobile Library holds over 2,000 items at any one time, which includes a good selection of large print books and talking books. Books held in other Trafford libraries can be reserved free of charge and collected from the Mobile Library.

What is available?

  • Internet access
  • Printing and photocopying
  • Stamps for sale

The Mobile Library has the following items available for loan:

For Adults

  • Popular, mainly paperback novels
  • Non-fiction books with the emphasis on recreational interest such as gardening, cookery, travel, sport and biography.
  • Large print books.
  • Talking Books

For 14+

  • A range of material chosen to appeal to this age group.

For Children

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+.
  • Junior non-fiction.
  • Talking Books.

Items which are not in stock on the Mobile Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge - this includes DVDs, Talking Books and Music CDs.
