How can I recommend items for stock?

To recommend new stock you can:

All suggestions will be considered for purchase but we cannot guarantee that titles suggested will be bought.

If there is a book which you would particularly like to read which is not in stock or on order at any of our libraries, you can complete a reservation card in the usual way and hand to staff. There is a small charge for this, which should be paid at the library when you hand in the reservation card.

How will I know if you have bought the item I recommend?

Why have you not bought my recommendation?

  • The item may be out of print
  • We may decide to purchase a different edition, such as a paperback, which has not yet been published
  • The item may not be available in the format asked for, such as Large Print or Audio Book
