Our Awards

At Trafford Council, we are passionate about accomplishing great things for the borough and are enormously proud to have been recognised for some of our key achievements over the past few years. 

This recognition is not only down to our staff, but also our fantastic residents who help to make Trafford a great place to live and work.

We hope to continue to build on this success by improving Trafford’s services for the good of the borough – and hopefully scoop up a few more awards in the process!

Apprentice Awards 2015 – ‘Intermediate Apprentice for Customer Service’ (Aleka    Wellington), ‘Advanced Apprentice of the Year for Business Administration’ (Saima Hyder) and ‘Intermediate Apprentice for Business Administration’ (Jenna Hindmarch)

Martina Monaghan who is on Trafford’s Internship Programme has won Trafford College’s Personal Achiever of the Year Award

Lance Francis awarded with a Jubilee Award for Service – this is for outstanding public sector  service.

Sale’s Springfield Primary’s school extension project, managed by the Major Projects Team, won an award in the ‘School Procurement’ category of the Education Business magazine awards. 

Cllr Mrs Laura Evans won an award at the Locality 2015, Public Sector Hero awards in the category ‘Supporting Members to Keep it Local category

National Volunteering Award sponsored by the Archives and Records Association (UK & Ireland) for GM1914 which is a collaborative effort across AGMA to improve public access and engagement with archives.

Greater Manchester has become the first UK city to be awarded as a Resilient City Region by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR). The Warm Homes, Healthy People and Town Hall Renovation Projects were included as cases studies from the 10 local authorities.
