Altrincham Market is open for trade on Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday & Saturday. On the first Friday
of the month a producers/craft market complements
the general market.

You can sell most goods at at the General Markets
as long as they are safe and legal – please see
our
terms and conditions.

Everyone who trades on the market starts as a
casual trader. After three months trading you are
eligible to become a permanent trader with a fixed
stall.

Insurance
You must be able to show evidence of public
liability insurance covering no less than £5
million.
Many traders get this through the National Market
Traders Federation www.nmtf.co.uk or the Combined
Market Traders Insurance Association
www.cmtia.co.uk, but we don't mind who you use as
long as your insurance covers no less than £5
million.
Food Hygiene
If you want to sell food, you must show evidence
of: Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and should be
registered with the Environmental Health
Department of the council where the vechicle which
you use to transport your merchandise is parked.

Costs
Stalls are 4 x 8ft and cost £13 per day (£14 from
1st April) and payment, cash only, will be
collected on the day.
If required all day discounted parking is
available at a cost of £3
Power
Electricity is available on some stalls there is
currently no additional charge.
If you would like to use a generator – only silent
generators are permitted.
Access
You can access the market to offload your
merchandise from 05:30am, you must vacate the
market by 18:00pm.
Toilet
The Greenwood Street toilet facilities will be
available on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. |
