There are 12.25 acres of pleasant open space with tree cover located along the perimeter path system.

  • Junior and Senior Play Areas (recently refurbished)

The main entrance gates are of interest, being erected to commemorate the Queen's Coronation in 1953.

Friends Group

The Friends of Ashton Park organise events and projects.

History

Land was acquired in June 1912 from the estate of Sir William Cuncliffe Brooks to develop the site as a Recreation Ground.
