Conveniently located opposite the Metrolink and bus station, Altrincham Library is at the centre of a busy market town. The library houses the main Reference and Information service for Trafford, including a small business section.

Self-service machines

Altrincham Library has two new self-service machines which you will find easy to use. You can use the machines to:

  • Take out items
  • Return items
  • Renew items
  • Pay library charges
  • Look at your borrower account

The Self-service machines have a touch screen and clear instructions on each screen. Staff will be available to provide any help needed with using the machines.

  • Nextstep - every Monday and Friday. Monday 9am - 12.30pm. Friday 9am-12noon.
  • Connexions - every Wednesday 12 - 4pm
  • Trafford Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service - third Friday of the month 12noon - 2pm

Items which are not in stock at Altrincham Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.
