Trafford Youth Service

Our Youth Service works with and on behalf of young people aged 13 to 19. We offer advice, personal support as well as exciting opportunities to be involved in arts, music, outdoor activities and a variety of community based projects. The Youth Service promotes equality of opportunity in partnership with young people, the Voluntary Youth Sector and other agencies.

You can reach youth workers through:

  • youth centres
  • youth projects
  • Talkshop
  • the Mobile Unit
  • schools
  • Street-based projects as well as on the streets

They all offer a range of facilities, resources, activities and training including:

  • young peoples meeting places
  • drop in information and advice facilities
  • an arts and music studio
  • outdoor education centres
  • Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme
  • Residentials
  • access to the UK Youth Parliament and other ways for y.p. to have a voice.

Young peoples participation and involvement is recognised and accredited through:

  • Youth Achievements Awards
  • Duke of Edinburgh's Award
  • Arts Award
  • BCU - Canoeing
  • First Aid Qualifications
