Description
Family Support and Parental Outreach including supporting families within the centre and in their own homes.
Child and Family Health Services including ante-natal advice, baby clinics, advice and support on breast feeding, hygiene, nutrition and safety, speech and language support and support for health lifestyles.
Early years provision such as sessional day care, 'Stay + Play' sessions and support to childminders.
Links with Job Centre Plus, Children's Information Service, local schools and training providers.
Open Monday - Friday. 8.00am - 5.30pm.
The Incredible years course starts Monday 6th September 9.30-11am. It is designed to develop understanding of your child?s behaviour and improve adult/child relationships and interaction. It will help you increase your children?s social skills and provide strategies for changing a child?s challenging behaviour. Phone the Centre to book your place.
Dad's drop In 1-3pm Monday. Join the other Dad's and enjoy free and fun activities with your child. Snack provided.
Broomwood Breast Friends (breast feeding support group) 1.30-3pm Thursday afternoon. Please call the centre for more details.
Chatterbox Language Group starts 8th October 2010 and will be held on Friday 1.15-2.45pm. It Is a six week course providing practical play ideas to promote early language development for children 18 months to 3 years. Prepare to join in and have fun with your child at this hands on activity groups .Please contact centre to book your place.
Dietetic Walk-ins. No appointment needed just come, Free friendly and professional advice from qualified Dietician. first come first served. Tuesday October 12, November 9th and December 14th 9-11.30am.
Speech and Language walk-in assessments. Wednesday October 13th and Wednesday December 8th. Specialist assessment from qualified speech and language therapists available. Just call in. First come, first served.
Sleep group - need advice about getting your child to sleep? Contact the centre for more details.
ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED BY THE CENTRE AT OTHER LOCATIONS:
Baby Club 9.30-11.00 Tuesday at Heyes Lane Primary School, for babies under 12 months, entry free.
Story/Rhyme Time: Timperley Library, Tuesday 2.00pm - 2.30pm AND Thursday 9.30am - 10.15am.
Play and Stay sessions at the Broomwood Centre, Mainwood Road, Wednesday Afternoons at 1.15-2.45pm. Join in healthy and fun activities with your child and chat to the Children's Centre Workers. Snack provided. £1 per family
Play and Stay also at Hale Barns All Saints Parish Church, Friday at 9.30-11.00am
