Trafford Council maintains and operates many public open spaces and highways throughout the Borough. The general public has a right of access to our parks and open spaces, free of charge, on a casual basis during programmed opening hours.

Should an organised group of people wish to use any public park or any part of a road for a specific event that may affect the normal running of the park, restrict public access, or affect the flow of traffic on the highway, such a group or organisation must seek the permission from us to stage the event.

An application form must be completed and returned to our Corporate Events Manager, then an assessment of whether or not the event can proceed will be made based on this information and also other relevant correspondence provided by the organisers, other departments or authoritative bodies such as the Police, Fire or Ambulance Services.
