Early help and multi-agency working

Early help in Trafford aims to make sure that services to support children, young people and their families are there when they need them. We are currently developing our approach to Family Help in Trafford. Our Family Help Strategy describes our ambition to ensure that children and their families receive the Right Help at the Right time.

The Trafford Directory has more information about the range of early help information and services available.

We work in partnership across many organisations in Trafford to safeguard children and young people. You can find more information, and helpful resources for; parents and carers, professionals, and children and young people, at the Trafford Strategic Safeguarding Partnership website

If you are worried about a child, Children's First Response is Trafford’s single point of contact for all professionals and members of the public to report concerns, request advice and share information about a child and/or family.

Reducing parental conflict

Conflict between parents is a normal part of relationships and family life. Not all conflict is damaging, but when conflict between parents is frequent, intense and poorly resolved, it can put children’s mental health and long term outcomes at risk. Conflict can be present between parents whether they are together or separated.

We've sourced a number of organisations and resources to provide information and support on how to maintain healthy relationships, how to recognise parental conflict, tools to help manage parental conflict and where to go for any further support you may need.
