Planning - Applications
Once you have determined that an application for planning permission is required, you need to submit an application. We encourage you to submit your planning application online via the national Planning Portal.
Alternatively you can download the forms below and return by post.
Public Access Database
The Public Access database allows you to:
- Search for planning application by a variety of critera such as address, date and type
- View details of planning applications
- Identify the status of a planning application
- View documents related to applications

Planning Register - Online Maps
The online maps allow you to locate planning applications using a map based system. You can search for an address or use the zoom tools to find a property. Use the 'Info' tool to click on an application and return more detail.

Making an online application
You can submit and pay for a Planning Application online through the Planning Portal. Electronic copies of plans, documents and documents can be attached.
Using the online form you will only need to submit one digital copy of the form and attachments. The online form will help ensure that your application is completed correctly and will help speed the planning decision process.
