Friends of the Bridgewater (Stretford)
There is already a group of 'Friends of the Bridgewater' who meet up regularly to discuss how to improve the use of the canal in Sale and we need a similar group in Stretford in order to make the most of our local canal- any one interested ?

Isn't it the same canal? Why not just have one 'friends of the canal' group?

the idea is to get a group going which covers the canal in every area. The Sale group look after the stretch from Timperley to the motorway bridge which is about 4 miles. The Stretford group would continue from the motorway bridge say up to Waters Meeting again about another 4 miles.
