Because they will be ignored. People in places like Bowden, Timperley and elsewhere are not short of a local hospital.

It is the place of Trafford or the sake of all the people who live here to stand up and tell the NHS they are not losing the A&E department.
Been too long being the under dogs.
Even our MP and our councillors are not working for the people.

We need a change and soon.

Altrincham/Timperley are less than 1.5miles away from Wythenshawe hospital! 'Trafford General' was always the wrong name for the place! Anybody in South Trafford ie Sale & Altrincham and surrounding areas would usually go to Wythenshawe already. This is perhaps the cause of the perceived lack of concern from south of the borough!!

Spot on; as a Timperley resident I would always go to Wythenshawe for A&E; my family only use Trafford General when appointments are made for us there.
We are lucky in that we have access to a car, but public transport links from South Trafford to Wythenshawe are far superior (although not brilliant) than those to Trafford General.

Indeed. A few years back I required minor surgery. The surgery would normally have been undertaken at Trafford General, but my GP refered me to Wythenshawe.

Trafford General should have remained Park Hospital as it has never served the whole of trafford!!
