Hmm. Perhaps we should have done a risk analysis before moving in.

You should always analyise the local area before buying! St Hugh's has been there 50 years next year ;-)

Note the smiley.

You are absolutely right. We have only been here 28 years. When we moved in there was no extension, no nursery provision and the playing fields were not hired out at weekends. Over the last three decades the number of Mums trying to deliver or pick up their kids has increased substantially too.

My phone has HTML issues! Yeah I know what your saying. I left St Hugh's over 20 years ago. There were 400 kids in the school and all those getting picked up by car could fit in the school carpark, and that was back in the days when I was half the size!!

I agree, I bought my house based on the fact it was in a quiet area with a family run garden centre and moderately popular pub on my doorstep but mainly houses

13 years later I have an 80 place children's nursery, 80 bed nursing home and a patch of land destined to contain at least 2 houses (unless the plans change again)
Several years of construction misery, a wholescale sewer replacement on the way and it has already become obvious that the car parks for these establishments don't (or are not allowed to) cater for all the staff let alone visitors or residents

Would love to move to somewhere a little quieter but kids love the school they're at, we can't afford to move "up the ladder" and no doubt the problem would reappear regardless of where we go

Admittedly the pub ain't so busy but there you go, perhaps more houses on the way
