I was told at the weekend that Hydes are stopping brewing Boddies beers. Has anyone else heard this rumour, if so, has an alternative brewery been sourced?
I know the cans are brewed somewhere in South Wales at some chemical works, but it would be nice to have Boddies brewed in the Manchester area. |

What gives/gave Boddingtons its unique taste was the well at the old brewery, very difficult to replicate.
The cask, "smooth pour" and canned Boddies all vary in taste but are all drinkable in their own right it would be nice to think that Joey Holts or JW Lees would offer to brew it instead but I guess it may well move out of the area, so long as it doesn't cease to be brewed for sale in pubs CAMRA or a similar beer-orientated orgainsation may be able to tell your more
