Subject to available funds, financial assistance is available to homeowners to repair their house up to a maximum of £3000.

The amount of assistance is dependant on the amount of qualifying work required and the applicants financial assessment (test of resources - ability to pay). This will be completed at the application stage to determine what level of grant you may receive and how much you would have to contribute.

Some of the work that can be done could include:

• Defective wiring
• Defective heating/gas fires
• Replacement window frames
• Roofing
• Pointing
• Damp proofing
• Kitchen units
• Bathrooms
• Loft/cavity insulation

To qualify you must answer yes to the following:

• You are aged 18 or over on the date of application
• The house is at least fifty years old at the time of your application
• You have lived at the property at least three years prior to application
• You have an owner's interest in the dwelling or are a tenant with a repairing obligation
