Self-service machines

Altrincham Library has two new self-service machines which you will find easy to use. You can use the machines to:

  • Take out items
  • Return items
  • Renew items
  • Pay library charges
  • Look at your borrower account

The Self-service machines have a touch screen and clear instructions on each screen. Staff will be available to provide any help needed with using the machines.

What's on

  • Readers' Group - Evening group meets on one Wednesday a month at 7pm. Morning Readers' Group meets on 1st Tuesday of the month at 11am. Please contact the library for dates and further information
  • Chatterbooks reading group for children aged 8 to 11 years - third Thursday of the month, 4pm to 5pm
  • Coffee morning - last Tuesday of the month
  • Displays
  • Rhymetime for under 5s every Friday at 2pm
  • Storytime every Thursday at 11am
  • Connexions - every Wednesday 1 - 4pm
  • Welfare Rights - every Thursday 10 - 1pm
  • Trafford Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Service - third Wednesday of the month 12noon - 2pm
  • Film Appreciation Course meets one Wednesday a month at 7pm. Contact the library for dates and further information.

Items which are not in stock at Altrincham Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.
