After a lot of hard work and determination behind the scenes, an Ice Dome
will soon be open in Altrincham.
Planning permission has been granted for the temporary ice skating facility to be sited on Moss Lane, Altrincham.
The Ice Dome - which includes an ice rink, cafeteria and restaurant - should be open to the thousands of local people who have been without this facility in recent years by September. As well as being a venue for general ice skating, it will host the welcome return of ice hockey matches, with spectator facilities of 2000 seats and room for another 400 standing.

This temporary facility will be replaced by a permanent ice skating arena to
be built by developers David McLean Nikal Ltd on a site near the temporary Ice
Dome.
