Activities for children over the summer school holidays
Trafford has got summer covered with events and activities running across the school holiday period to keep children and young people entertained. Here are some ideas.
Please be aware that tickets will be required for some of the activities featured.
Want to dance? 'Step Out' is a week of dance workshops with Free Expression Dance's Imani Jendai, and the culmination of the 'Step to the Street' initiative run by Immerse. At the start of the year, 'Step to the Street' offered free street dance sessions to young people in youth centres around Trafford, with Partington, Gorse Hill, Old Trafford and Sale West all hosting eight weeks of dance sessions for young people to take part in. Those participants will be invited to take part in 'Step Out' where they will get the opportunity to build on what they have learnt. They will spend a week developing their skills and creating a piece of dance to perform at the Waterside Arts Centre. If you're aged 11 - 21 and have some dance experience then you too can take part. Contact Jeff on 912 5093 or email immerse@trafford.gov.uk for further details. Places to go, things to do.
