Cyclist across Trafford took to the streets on two wheels for Bike Week in June.

During the week budding cyclists were able to visit stands set up across the borough by Trafford Council, offering a range of information to help them on their way, including new Trafford cycle maps, leaflets about the Bridgewater Way Connect 2 scheme and information from Greater Manchester Police about bicycle security.

In addition to this, a council representative and a police community support officer were on hand to provide free information, maps and advice about cycling in Trafford and free security tagging for bicycles.

Richard Alderson, from Sale, said: "Trafford is pretty flat and easy to cycle around if you can cycle confidently - I would encourage more people to get on their bikes!"
