A weekend of heritage, art and culture is coming to Sale! Visitors to the town centre on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 September are invited to enjoy the festivities at Waterside Open Weekend.

The event starts on the Saturday with Waterside Open Day, from 10am-3pm. Attractions include dancing on the plaza, Comedy Sportz, drama, music and sound, and lighting demos in the theatre. Creative Industries and Trafford Arts Association will host stalls, whilst there will be a clown, face painting, balloon modelling and badge making activities to entertain children. Refreshments include food stalls, an ice cream van and treats from the Vintage Tearoom. Visit www.watersideartscentre.co.uk for more details.

On the Sunday, a Heritage Open Day takes place between 11am-4pm. Visitors can explore Sale Town Hall and Waterside Arts Centre and enjoy a range of talks, tours, displays and activities which bring to life local history and culture. Meet JP Joule and the Duke of Bridgewater, enjoy The Bandstand Marathon, and enjoy the food and drink stalls and much more.

Heritage Open Days celebrate England's architecture and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission. Find out more at http://www.heritageopendays.org.uk
