Getting information from the map

Using this interactive map you will be able to turn on and off layers based on the various map categories covering Local Plan themes e.g. Environment.

Based on the layers you open, by clicking on an area of the map you will be able to find out (query) information such as the relevant policy designation, including a hyperlink to the relevant policy document.

Town centre inset maps

For sites that fall within a town centre boundary (i.e. Altrincham, Sale, Stretford and Urmston) the Town centre inset maps should also be referred to for further policy designations.

What the Composite Local Plan Policies Map shows

This Policies Map has been prepared taking account of the changes that have taken place since the adoption of the Revised Unitary Development Plan (UDP) in June 2006. The Policies Map illustrates all saved UDP policies (2007 and 2008), as well as changes that have taken place as a result of the adoption of the following documents:

In addition, it shows the Proposed Area Action Plan being prepared for the Civic Quarter. The Civic Quarter Area Action Plan Examination page sets out more information.
