What's on

  • Tech and Talk - a chat/self help group. Come along iwth your laptop/tablet to chat about IT. We will meet fortnightly on Mondays 10.30-11.30, starting on Monday 24 April. Please email libraries@trafford.gov.uk to book your place.
  • One to one tablet and smartphone sessions available on Monday afternoons, 12:30-1:15pm and 1:15-2pm, book with library staff.
  • Storytime for under fives is every Tuesday at 2pm.
  • Rhymetime - Every Tuesday and Friday, 10:15 to 10:45am; sessions are free and open to all under 5s but places are limited.
  • A Writers' Circle meets on the last Saturday of the month at 10-12 noon to support aspiring and published authors.

Hale Library has the following items available for loan:

For adults: 

  • Hardback and paperback fiction, including bestsellers and contemporary novels.
  • Non-fiction books ranging from popular interest topics to more academic subjects, in some cases up to AS and A level.
  • Large print books.
  • Talking Books on CD

For 14+:

  • A wide range of material chosen to appeal to this age group.

For children:

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+
  • Junior non-fiction
  • Talking Books on CD

We have a large selection of eBooks and eAudio available from Borrowbox.

Items which are not in stock at Hale Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.
