Lostock Library is no longer part of Trafford's Statutory Library service, and is now run by Lostock High School. The library is only open during school term time.

Term time opening hours

Lostock library is used in conjunction with Lostock High School. The library is open to members of the public during school term times for book browsing and borrowing or collection of books ordered online through our catalogue.

Stock available

We have a large selection of eBooks and eAudio available from Borrowbox. Items which are not in stock at Lostock Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.

Lostock Library has the following items available for loan:

  • Hardback and paperback fiction, including bestsellers and contemporary novels
  • Non-fiction books ranging from popular interest topics to more academic subjects
  • Large print books

For 14+

  • A wide range of material chosen to appeal to this age group

For children

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+
  • Junior non-fiction

  • Free reservations for any item in stock or on order at any Trafford library

  • Free access to public Wi-Fi
  • There are no computer, photocopying, printing or scanning facilities available at this library
