We recognise the importance of learning to ride a bike safely for children.
Children who ride bikes are happier and healthier than those who don’t, and cycling opens up many new social opportunities for young people. But to cycle safely on today’s roads, some formal training can be very useful, as well as very enjoyable. Trafford Council’s Road Safety unit offers national standard ‘Bikeability’ cycle training to pupils in year 6 at all schools in Trafford free of charge.
To find out when our instructors will be visiting your child’s school please contact the road safety team.
