Trafford's 'gold'en partnership working recognised

Trafford Partnership is celebrating after taking 'Gold' in the 'Working Together' category at this year's prestigious national IESE Awards.

The Awards, now in their eighth year, recognise partnerships between public services, the use of new technology to improve customer access, culture change, transformation in waste and social care, and service re-design.

It focused on the significant changes which are being achieved thanks to the unified One Trafford Approach embraced by partners and local communities.

These include work around integration of all age health and social care services, multi agency responses to enable improved rehabilitation and well-being and asset based approaches to strengthen communities, promote skills, independence and build local resilience.

Placing collaborative working at its heart, this approach is clearly demonstrating that together, pooling resources, sharing ideas, learning from each other's experiences and knowledge, is achieving far more than could be achieved by individual agencies working in isolation.

Speaking after the announcement, Trafford Council Chief Executive, Theresa Grant, said: "This award is a fantastic achievement and would not have been possible without the equal focus, determination and commitment of all our partners in driving forward improvements, change and innovative new approaches to local services.

Together we have demonstrated the very best in collaboration to bring about significant change and improvements. Securing Gold in this hotly contested category, against formidable peers, reinforces the achievements and potential of our approach as we strive to reform and reshape local service delivery. Through innovation and the strength to take bold decisions, Trafford has once again placed itself at the top, a leader amongst peers, a Borough that demonstrates the importance of placing collaboration, change and local communities at the heart of its work."
