It is our responsibility to deal with abandoned vehicles that are within the boundaries of Trafford.

We will investigate the vehicle, whether it is on private or council owned land.

Before you report a problem with an abandoned vehicle it will help us if you give us as many details as possible about the vehicle. We will need to know:

• Exact location of the vehicle
• Vehicle registration number
• Colour of vehicle
• Make and model of vehicle
• Whether there is a car tax disc on the vehicle - and if the tax is current or expired

Not having a current vehicle excise licence is not sufficient grounds to decide that a vehicle is abandoned.
