The Estates team plans the disposal of any land or buildings and gains agreement from the Council’s Executive. You can find papers relating to the Strategic Land Review, and search for information online. See the Land Sales Programme section in our A-Z.
Occasionally the Council will dispose of land or buildings and when it does you can view them online.

Where access is required to or across Council-owned land to complete works to either your property or on Council-owned land adjacent to your property, you will require permission from the Council to do so and will usually be asked to enter into a licence agreement with the Council.
Types of work that this applies to are:
- Work to trees within your property that require access to Council-land in order that they can be completed safely and/or efficiently.
- Work to trees on Council-owned land that require access to Council-land in order that they can be completed safely and/or efficiently.
- Work to boundaries that requires access onto Council-owned land.
- Erection of scaffolding or other access equipment on Council-owned land to facilitate works on adjoining property
- Crossing of Council-owned land to access garages or parking spaces at the rear of adjoining residential premises.
