Review of Trafford's Licensing Policy

We are currently reviewing our licensing policy, with the intention that any amended policy will become effective on 7 January 2021.

We are consulting a range of bodies as part of this process including those that represent residents, local businesses, premises licence holders and other interested parties in the Trafford area.

Our Statement of Licensing Policy is a document we must produce by law. It sets out our approach to licensing in Trafford. It gives clear guidance to licence holders, applicants and people who may comment on licence applications of our policies and expectations. We are legally obliged to have regard to our Statement of Licensing Policy when we make decisions on licence applications or reviews

Our new draft Statement of Licensing Policy 2021-2026 is now available and we welcome your comments on the changes we are proposing to make. The sections marked in yellow in the document are the changes we propose. We have also produced a summary of the amendments. If you would like to comment please complete our online survey which asks about your views on the general Licensing Policy, and about the Council’s Cumulative Impact Policy.

If you would prefer we can send you an electronic copy of the draft policy.

Please email your request to licensing@trafford.gov.uk

Any comments should be sent to the Licensing Office by 5pm on Friday 18 September 2020.
