Flixton Neighbourhood Plan

On 21 October 2019 Trafford Council received an application from a group known as the Flixton Neighbourhood Planning Group for the formal designation of both a Neighbourhood Area and a Neighbourhood Forum. In accordance with Regulations 6 and 9 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 the council carried out a 6 week consultation on the proposed Flixton Neighbourhood Area and Forum between Friday 20 December 2019 and Friday 31 January 2020.

Neighbourhood area and forum designation

At its meeting on 16 March 2020, the Council Executive approved the application to formally designate the Flixton Neighbourhood Forum as the qualifying body in order to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for Flixton. The Council also designated the Flixton Neighbourhood Area at this time.

In accordance with Regulations 7 and 10 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Trafford Council is publicising the following details:

• Name of the Neighbourhood Area: Flixton Neighbourhood Area
• The name of the relevant body who applied for the designation: Flixton Neighbourhood Forum
• A map of the designated area: Flixton Neighbourhood Area Map
• Flixton Neighbourhood Plan supporting statement and written constitution
