Early education timeline

The provider timeline gives a detailed overview of the termly funding process to support providers in planning and budgeting for the term. This includes all actions providers must take to make funding claims and receive payment. It also highlights the application cut off dates for 2 year old funding.

Academic year 2023/24

• Private, Volunatry & Independant (PVI)
  For example: private day nursery, childminder or pre-school 

• School Nursery
  For example: nursery class of a maintained primary school

Missing a submission date

If a headcount or (where applicable) a mid term joiner is not submitted by the deadline date, there will be no other opportunity to make a claim for funding that term. If you have a problem completing a submission on The Portal contact the Early Education Team immediatley, before the deadline.

Updating the timeline 

It is very unlikely the dates on the timeline will need to change. Providers will be notified of any changes. It is advisable that this page is added to 'favourites' so that the most recent version of the timeline is always available.
