Frequently Asked Questions: Can the headcount be submitted before headcount day? No. The 'Claim Period' opens on the termly headcount day and closes 1 week later. It is advisable that the headcount is submitted as soon as possible to allow enough time for the information to be checked. What happens if a submission date on the timeline is missed? If a headcount or (where applicable) a mid term joiner is not submitted by the deadline date, there will be no other opportunity to make a claim for funding that term. If you have a problem completing a submission on The Portal contact the Early Education Team immediatley, before the deadline. Will the dates on the timeline change? It is very unlikely the dates on the timeline will need to change. Providers will be notified of any changes. It is advisable that this page is added to 'favourites' so that the most recent version of the timeline is always available.
