We need caring, flexible people who are experienced with children and young people to support those in need coming into our care.
You’ll be helping us when a child needs an emergency placement or allowing our foster carers to have vital breaks.
You don’t need to be married, or in a relationship, you just need a loving home where our children (or young people up to the aged of 18) can feel safe and cared for.
If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the following questions, then please get in touch - we would love to hear from you.
- Could you be on call to provide short-term breaks at short notice for single children or sibling groups aged up to 18 (maximum of 3 at a time)?
This could mean being asked to take a child, or children, into your home outside of normal working hours, at weekends or bank holidays. They would then stay with you for a period of up to 10 days, or longer if needed.
- Would you like to earn a guaranteed income of £340 per week, plus an additional £50 per night for every night a child is placed in your care.
- Would you get satisfaction and reward from dedicating both your time and home to looking after these children, and be able to stay-at-home with them full-time.
- Could you provide emergency short-term or planned breaks for our Trafford foster carers by looking after the children who are normally in their care? This may be to cover while they go on holiday or have a weekend away. Or it could be to intervene when a foster placement is at risk of breaking down, so our teams can help them to strengthen their parenting strategies. We may also ask you to look after children who would normally be with their parents but can’t continue to live together without support from our Family Focus team. Could you take them in, so our experts can provide intensive help?
