Trafford Sports Awards 2019

Through the Trafford Sports Awards, we take the opportunity to recognise the efforts and achievements of individuals, clubs and organisation involved in sport and physical activity.  Nominations can be made until  31 August 2019.

Changing lifestyle recognition award

This award recognises individuals and groups that have made significant positive changes in lifestyle.


Community initiative award

This award recognises a physical activity initiative by an organisation which has made a difference in communities and achieved positive social outcomes


Unsung hero award

This award recognises those individuals how have made significant contribution to sport & physical activity.


School commitment to PE and school sport

Recognises school who have made significant commitment to promotion and support of PE and School Sport.


Volunteer of the year

Recognises individuals and groups who have made a difference through volunteering.


Young sports achiever of the year

This award is for young athletes (aged under 18) who are not professionally funded who have had significant success in their sport throughout the year.


Workforce advocate of the year

This award recognises an individual that has used physical activity or sport within their professional role to have positive impacts on any of the following outcomes for their local community, for example a GP sending patients to parkrun, a support worker upskilling themselves to promote Physical Activity, a Researcher developing research that has enabled more people to get active or an Individual from a workplace supporting getting their workplace more active.


Community club / group of the year

Recognises the achievements of clubs, groups and organisation who use sport and physical activity to positively influence others.
