Strengthening Practice

We are delighted to share the news that we have now awarded the contract to our Relational Practice partners. Strengthening Practice will be coming on board to work alongside us for a minimum of three years. This will play a critical role in us improving our quality of practice and builds on our existing restorative approaches.

An initial meeting has taken place for us to share our journey to date and start to build relationships. What was really clear from this discussion is that it is important for relationships to develop at every level, and therefore for the first three months Strengthening Practice will work with us to establish a secure base as a partnership.

During this time they will start to work alongside practitioners and managers in a genuine ‘getting to know you’ phase. A group of practitioners and managers have been identified to work collaboratively with Strengthening Practice to help develop our bespoke core skills programme. This is a really exciting ‘practice leading the practice’ opportunity. Meet the Strengthening Practice team:

Jo Fox

Jo Fox

Jo Fox has spent thirty years working with children, young people and adults in social care in Australia and the UK. A Social Worker, she now runs Strengthening Practice, a company that brings relational based CPD to the social care sector.

Jo has particular experience in working with children, firstly as a practitioner, then as a manager, a social work educator and motivational speaker. She specialises in promoting best practice with people who work with children, young people and adults in social care and education.

Phil Rigotti

Phil Rigottiis

Phil Rigottiis a Social Worker and trainer whose expertise includes therapy interventions, direct work and whole family approaches. Phil also has significant experience as a Therapeutic Social Worker delivering innovative and creative therapy services to children, adults and carers who have experienced abuse or trauma.

Phil has led and supervised a multi-agency team of therapists, social workers and family workers specialising in therapeutic interventions for complex and chaotic families and to adoptive and fostering placements where there are children with complex behaviours. Phil has training in trauma therapy, attachment therapies, solution-focused and motivational approaches.

Nus Bibi

Nus Bibi

Nus Bibi is a Social Worker and trainer with extensive experience in frontline social work practice. She has worked across Duty and Assessment, Child Protection and CLA teams, handling complex cases from start to finish, giving her a strong knowledge of child protection legislation and practices.

Nus has significant knowledge and experience in domestic abuse and has worked in a women’s refuge supporting women fleeing domestic abuse. She is passionate about supporting those less fortunate in society and being child-centred and child-focused is at the heart of her practice.
