About the Role:

We are looking to recruit a Validation Officer to join our Planning & Development Validation Team for 12 months, covering long term absence and maternity leave.

The post holder will be part of the PLACE Directorate Business Support Team, supporting The Planning & Development Team by processing and validating all types of planning applications, providing a high standard of customer service to clients, partners and officers whilst striving to meet the aims, objectives and statutory targets required of the service.

You will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Planning Service and its Processes
  • Experience of administration systems in a large organisation
  • Experience of working in a fast pace environment with tight deadlines
  • A thorough understanding of customer care and related standards
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and the public, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of analysing problems and finding appropriate solutions
