Online using Zoom & Canvas final session is face to face to cover the micro teach session and will be held in Manchester Town Centre.

About the course:

The Award in Education and Training (replaces the previous Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification. It is an introductory qualification appropriate for teachers, tutors and trainers working within an FE college, Adult and Community Learning Centre or Learning Provider, and for those delivering work-based training or working within voluntary, community, private and public organisations. It is also suitable for people who are considering this kind of work in the future. The Award offers an introduction to teaching and covers topics such as the roles and responsibilities of a teacher/trainer, planning and delivering inclusive sessions, and assessing learning.

Eligibility criteria:

  • 19+
  • On means tested benefits ( Universal Credit / JSA ) or low income of less than £20,888 per year
  • Great Manchester resident
