Changes to Trafford Library Service

Overview

Following two periods of public consultation and Trafford Council Executive decision on 25 March 2015 a number of changes will be taking place within Trafford Libraries. Here is an overview of the changes with current target dates; this page will be updated regularly.

The proposed changes for Coppice, Lostock and Woodsend Libraries have now been implemented, for further information please see the pages for these libraries.

Timperley Library

The Timperley Library site will be redeveloped to facilitate a GP surgery, a new smaller library and some residential accommodation.

This project is currently at an early stage with plans being drawn up by a developer in consultation with the GP and the Council. There will be further opportunity for public input into this project and any changes will be subject to the statutory planning process.

Hale Library

A developer has been appointed to redevlop Hale Library and the planning process is expected to start in Autumn 2015.
