Lostock Library is no longer part of Trafford's Statutory Library service and is now run by Lostock High School.

Opening hours

Lostock library is open during school term times from Monday to Friday 2 - 4 pm for book browsing and borrowing or collection of books ordered online via our catalogue.

Please note we will be closed from Monday 11 April – Friday 22 April for the Easter Holidays.

Stock available

We have a large selection of eBooks and eAudio available from Borrowbox. Items which are not in stock at Lostock Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.

Lostock Library has the following items available for loan:

For Adults

  • Popular, mainly paperback novels
  • Non-fiction books with the emphasis on recreational interest such as gardening, cookery, travel, sport and biography
  • Large print books

For 14+

  • A wide range of material chosen to appeal to this age group

For Children

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+
  • Junior non-fiction, chosen to reflect the school curriculum

The library is used in conjunction with Lostock High School. The Library is available for use by voluntary and community groups outside the opening hours by arrangement.
